Dr. Mandy Morford
Is a Board Certified Family Physician. She received her MD from the Medical College of Virginia in 1997 and completed a residency at Oregon Health and Science University in 2000. She practiced medicine in California for five years before moving to Colorado in 2005 and joined La Plata Family Medicine in 2013. Dr. Morford has special interests in women’s health, pediatric and adolescent medicine.
Dr. Jordan Loftis
Graduated from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 2005 then completed his internship at Parkland Memorial Hospital in Dallas, Texas and residency in Family Medicine at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. He is currently Board Certified in Family Medicine and joined La Plata Family Medicine in 2010 after working for the Baylor Hospital System in Fort Worth, Texas. Dr. Loftis is interested in all aspects of Family Medicine including chronic disease management and preventative care strategies. He is married to Dr. Lauren Loftis and they have 2 children.
Dr. Lauren Loftis
Is board certified in both Family Medicine and Hospice and Palliative Care and is a diplomate of the American Board of Family Medicine and the American Academy of Hospice and Palliative Care Medicine. She graduated from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas, Texas and completed her residency at John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas. She enjoys practicing full spectrum family medicine at La Plata Family Medicine, with a focus on children’s and women’s health issues. She is the current President of the La Plata County Medical Society, Medical Director for Mercy Hospice, and Associate Professor of Family Medicine at CU College of Medicine. She and her husband Jordan Loftis MD are raising their two children in Durango and enjoy life on their farm where they have all manner of lifestock and adventure.
Dr. Sue Weber
Is a Board Certified Family Physician as well as being Level II certified for Occupational Medicine. She received her M.D. from the Medical College of Wisconsin in 1985 and completed a residency in Family Practice at the University of Colorado Affiliate, Fort Collins in 1988. Before moving to Durango, she practiced in Loveland, CO. Dr. Weber, her husband and two children enjoy piano, camping, skiing and other outdoor recreation.
Dr. Brad Lyons
Attended the Colorado School of Mines and went on to receive his M.D. degree from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center in 1993. He completed a Family Practice Residency at Rose Hospital in Denver. Dr. Lyons has spent 10 years in the Vail Valley both in private practice and at the Copper Mountain Trauma Clinic before joining La Plata Family Medicine in 2006. He is Board Certified in Family Medicine as well as being Level II certified for Occupational Medicine. Dr. Lyons enjoys all aspects of Family Practice with special interests in sports medicine, orthopedics and dermatology. His personal interests include mountain biking, telemark skiing and traveling. He is married to Inge and has two children.
Dr. Ryan Duvall
Is a Board Certified Family Medicine Physician. He graduated from the University of Louisville School of Medicine in 2009 and completed his Family Medicine residency at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado. Dr. Duvall joins La Plata Family Medicine after working as an outpatient physician in Big Clifty, Kentucky. He enjoys all aspects of Family Medicine and has particular interests in preventative medicine, chronic disease, and lifestyle management. His fiancee is a nurse and Bayfield native. Together they look forward to making you a part of their family.
Dr. Jude B. Harrison
Is a Board Certified Family Physician, founding diplomate of the American Board of Holistic and Integrative Medicine (2000) and certified through the Center for Mind-Body Medicine (2009). He received his MD in 1980 from the University of Washington in Seattle, completed Internship at UCLA, and Family Medicine Residency at the University of Kentucky in Lexington. He is on faculty at UC College of Medicine. Dr. Harrison joined La Plata Family Medicine in 1984 and is grateful for his decades long as well as new patient relationships. His medical practice focuses on comprehensive chronic care, preventive medicine, and helping people develop healthy lifestyles. He is honored to serve our LGBTQ population as well as our general community. Jude has 2 adult children and enjoys hiking, dancing, music, sustainable living, and facilitating regional workshops.
